City hall and a Beer

We went to the top of city hall and looked over Stockholm. It was awesome! The Stockholm city hall is where they present the Nobel prizes and hold their banquet. We had the privilege of dinning like Kings. Afterwards, we went to a local pub, of which Stockholm has many Irish pubs, to have a beer before turning in for the evening. We sat and listened to Reggae music as we enjoyed our Leffe Blonde Belgian beer.

Mega ash tray, statues and fountains

Walking around Stockholm we ran into a huge potter used as an ash tray. Cigarette butts are everywhere! We found the statues in city hall.

My first walk in Sweden

The first chance I got, I went for a walk around Stockholm.
I ran into some interesting sites and even more interesting people. Stockholm is a very beautiful city.

Hanging in Brooklyn

During a 24 hour layover, i took time to go to Brooklyn. I have been here before, but it was worth the 1 1/2 hour train ride.

First travel day to Newark on my way to Sweden!

As the previous week had ended, so started my morning on Monday. I was running around making sure I had everything I needed for my trip. Passport, check. Wallet, check. Me, check. My nephew, Dean saved me and gave me a ride to the airport. Once on the plane, I found myself sitting next to two young Britts who had just finished touring the US and were on their way back to Manchester, England. Nice kids. It was a bit strange getting to the airport in New Jersey and not knowing anyone. I had yet to meet up with anyone in my party. Later that evening, I found my way to the hotel bar and made fast friends with the business travelers sitting next to me. We sat and shared stories for a few hours over drinks. It was awesome to see how I could fit right in with two seasoned business travelers. We had a lot of laughs!
