And so it begins

So my day has started. It is Sunday at 5 am. Iam left my house at 6:30 am with my bike fully loaded for the trip. I am going to volunteer at the Downed Officer ride before my friend Jeff and I leave to catch up with the rest of the group. We left at 3 pm and we road until almost 1 am. It was a long hard ride. We had such a hard wind coming in from the side, we had to fight to stay in our own lane. It was worth it because it was a beautiful ride. We wound up in the little town of Orland, Ca.,
About 100 miles south of Redding. It was a good first day. We got further than we had thought we might.
